The Restoration Process. Pictures, Descriptions and Helpful information.
                     



 1)  Car Horns are first opened and inspected.

 2)  Next they are cleaned and glass beaded.

 3)  Bad parts are replaced,trumpet is machined.

 4)  Inside is sealed to prevent future corrosion.

 5)  Horns are reassembled and riveted,using correct rivets.

 6)  Horns are now tuned and tested.

 7)  Imperfections are filled, horns are primed and sanded.

 8)  3 coats of medium gloss black are applied.

 9)  Horns are allowed to dry 2 days before shipping.


 

At The Horn Works, each car horn is blueprinted and truly restored inside and out. Many hours are spent on each
horn to improve life and achieve the best possible sound and appearance.
